Framingham Repeat Offense OUI Attorney
In 2005, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts enacted new, harsher OUI laws. Commonly referred to as Melanie's Law, these provisions sharply increase the penalties upon conviction for drunk driving, particularly, for people with prior OUI convictions.
If you have been arrested for drunk driving, you should not take chances with your future by pleading guilty. An OUI conviction will stay on your record permanently, and years later it can come back to haunt you. Get legal help today.

Thomas G. Waldstein will work diligently to build a strong and effective OUI defense for you.
Melanie's Law Penalties
Under the stricter laws, anyone convicted of an OUI, DUI, DWI or other drunk driving offenses in Massachusetts will always carry that conviction on his or her criminal record. OUIs and other drunk driving offenses are no longer erased from a criminal record after 10 years. This means that, an OUI conviction years in the past can lead to stiff penalties. You will be subjected to all the enhanced penalties of a second OUI charge — instead of being treated as a first-time offender.
Upon conviction for a second or third OUI offense, Melanie's Law requires that an ignition interlock device be installed on the offender's vehicle. This is a great inconvenience to be avoided if at all possible.
Don't risk your future. Thomas G. Waldstein, Attorney at Law will stand up for your rights aggressively seeking a dismissal or reduction in the charge.
